I know what you’re thinking. It’s very hard these days to find something to kill time with. There’s very little distractions available to us. That’s why today I decided to bring to your attention a puzzle game app for Android called Roll the Ball. It’s actually a pretty popular app, so you might have heard of it already, but I haven’t, so I’ll do a little write up on it if you don’t mind.
Quick overview of all the main features
I try to give an overview of all the more interesting features offered, for those who don’t have time to read, so here it is:
Puzzle game app for Android – Roll the Ball
After launching Roll the Ball first thing that you’re going to see is the menu like the one shown on the screenshot down below.
Oh yeah, I’m gonna show you every single step of game setup. Right away we see that there are actually four main gameplay types. First is the standard one which is accessed by tapping on the “Play” button. After that there’s two more, “Moving”, “Rotation” and “Star”. I’ll explain what they are a bit later. Right now let’s focus on the standard gameplay which is accessed by tapping on the “Play” button.
After tapping on the “Play” button you’ll be taken to the next step of the setup which is where you select the levels that you want to play. Levels are given in packs. “Basic A” pack has 180 levels and you’ll need to go through them all in order to unlock new levels. Later on levels can also be bought, so this isn’t an entirely free >puzzle game app.
And now we come to the star of the show, the actual gameplay. The whole goal of this game is to reposition the tiles with lines (and curves) on them in order to allow the ball to go from the starting tile to the end tile. Tiles cannot be rotated (at least not in the standard gameplay), just repositioned along the grid. Getting them in the right place for the ball to move across gets more difficult as you progress through the levels.
I mentioned in the introduction that there are additional gameplay modes, they are Moving, Stars and Rotation. In “Moving”, your goal is to solve the puzzle with the ball moving. You will need to move tiles in front of the ball fast enough so that it doesn’t go off of the tiles. In “Stars” you need to rearrange the tiles in such a way so that you collect as many stars as possible. “Rotation” is pretty much self explanatory. Here you get the option to rotate the tiles. It’s important to note that all three of these alternative gameplay modes are not free, THEY ARE PAID, but you CAN PREVIEW THEM, to see if they float your boat before purchase.
Final thoughts and download
Roll the Ball is a very fun game and it’s a very addicting game. I started playing it and before I knew it I was 30 levels in, having fun, lost track of time and stopped being productive. It’s a perfect puzzle game app for killing time in waiting rooms, or when you’re just bored. It a great brain teaser game. As always I await comments with your opinions in the comment section down below.
