Whether you like it or not, math is an important part of our lives. Practically everything revolves around math, and if you want to get ahead in this world, you have to know at least the basics. Solving math problems can take time if you don’t have the right tools or should I say app. Yes, that’s right, you can use your Android powered device in order to perform mathematical calculations. The app that I’ll use for that in this review is called Math Solver.
Math Solver is a free Android math app and it can be used to perform a wide range of calculations. Next to being free when it comes to price, it’s also free from ads. Entire app is divided up into 4 tabs. To change between them you need to swipe either left or right. The first tab that you’re gonna see is the Maths Solver tab where you can can type in over 100 different types of math problems and have the app throw solutions back at you.
To find out how everything works, swipe over to the Catalog tab where a list of all the available math functions can be seen. Next to being able to see the available math functions, every one them also has a short explanation what it does and and how it can be applied. List is quite extensive, there’s probably over a hundred of math functions that this free Android math app can calculate.
By swiping all the way to the right, you’ll reach the Examples tab. This is where examples of how various math problems have to be typed into the Math Solver tab in order for it to actually solve the problem. Here’s a short list of available math functions and problems that this Android math app can solve:
- 2D function plots
- Basic Algebra
- Curl and Divergence
- Solve equation and system of linear equations
- Indefinite and Definite Integration
- Set operations i.e Union, Intersection, Mean, Median, Max, Min
- Enigen Vectors, Transpose, Power
- Matrix : Determinant, Eigenvalues
To see what else is available, make sure that you open up both the Catalog and Examples tabs and that you read through them properly. It might take some getting used to how Math Solver works, but doing that is well worth the effort because this is a very powerful math app for Android.
I saved the best for last, at least I hope that that’s what I did, since I kinda suck at math to be honest.. 😀 . What you’re seeing on the image above is the Graph Plotter tab, the one all the way to the left. From there you can plot mathematical functions using your Android device, OMG, weeeee, let’s have a party. Anyway, if you need a math app for Android that can do a whole heap of interesting nerdy math calculations, make sure to give Maths Solver a try.
