As soon as you run RadioCast you’re gonna be presented with a very long list of radio stations. This is a portable application, which means that you don’t have to install it in order to use it. To narrow down your search and find music that interests you use the drop down box in the to right corner. That’s genre selection. This free Windows Media Player online radio playlist allows you to select between several dozens of various different genres, alternative, chill out, rock, rap, hip-hop, etc.
It’s important to point out here that RadioCast is only a Winamp/Windows Media Player online radio playlist. You will not be able to listen to radio stations with it. By default playlist is set to work with Winamp, more precisely Winamps PLS format. To stream songs as WPL, which is the playlist format used by Windows Media Player, you’re gonna have to click on the “Use Windows Media Player format” in the bottom right corner.
Once you’ve done that, the only thing that you have to do in order to start enjoying music from available radio stations is to do a left click on the radio’s station name. Depending on which playlists you’ve used, Winamp or Windows Media Player, the appropriate player will come up and the radio station will start playing.
